Tim Justice Elected Chair-Elect of the Greenville Chamber
(GREENVILLE, SC) The Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce today announced that its Board of Directors have unanimously elected Timothy R. Justice, president of Rescom Construction Company to serve as chair-elect of the organization in 2008 and chairman in 2009.
Justice currently serves as vice-chair of Membership on the Chamber Board and served as vice-chair of Economic Development in 2005 and 2006. A number of the Chamber’s newer programs in the economic development area were initiated during his term. He has also held a number of other roles within the Chamber including chairman of the Advantage Greenville program.
Current Chamber Chairman Howard Daniel of Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak and Stewart said, “Tim has tirelessly and enthusiastically held a number of leadership positions within the Chamber and is an inspiration to many. In particular, he has been a role model and cheerleader for small businesses. The Chamber will flourish under his leadership.”
Justice, an accountant by training, started Rescom Construction along with his partner Joe McLaughlin, 18 years ago in the specialty area of up fitting and renovating commercial spaces. The company employs 30 people and typically handles in excess of 100 construction projects annually.
“As a small business person, I consider this a great honor and will encourage other small business involvement in leadership roles within the Chamber”, Justice said.
Justice will follow Jane Sosebee, regional vice president for AT&T, who will serve as Chamber Chair in 2008.
