GREENVILLE, S.C., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Zipit(R) Wireless
Messenger 2 (Z2), which was launched at DigitalLife in New York City in
September, is now available for purchase exclusively at the company's Web
site, http://www.zipitwireless.com. The Z2 is a sleek and portable, Wi-Fi instant
messaging (IM) device that provides convenient access to IM without tying
up, or being tied to, the family computer.

The Z2, winner of the 2007 DigitalLife Best of Show award for portable
gear, is the only device of its kind that offers wireless IM connectivity
with no monthly or per message fees. The Z2 supports all major IM
platforms, AOL(R), Yahoo(R) and MSN(R), seamlessly, creating one
comprehensive buddy list that covers all three platforms.

Z2 users can also enjoy their favorite music while IMing via a fully
capable music player called "MyTunez(TM)" that provides instant access to
MP3 music stored on an optional mini-SD card or radio streamed from the
Internet. Users can also view photos and slideshows with the built-in
"MyPhotoz(TM)" feature.

Additionally, the Z2 can be personalized with unique backgrounds and
themes available for immediate download from the company's Web site. While
at the site, teens can also play IM-themed games and help create
"Zipitpedia," an online dictionary that provides the latest translations
for IM lingo.

The Z2 appeals to parents as well by providing their children a safe
venue for IMing friends without the typical online hazards of the PC, such
as unsolicited messages, viruses, and access to inappropriate Web sites. A
recent associated press article on IMing stated that more than half of IM
users have received unsolicited messages from people they do not know - a
threat prevented by the Z2. Parents have the additional option to monitor
and control Z2 usage through the interactive Parental Portal on the Zipit
Web site.

"IMing is the dominant form of electronic communication for teens. A
recent AP article cited the unique, conversational aspects of IMing that
continue to drive teen usage and also stated that one in 10 teens spend
three or more hours a day sending instant messages to their friends," said
Frank Greer, CEO and president of Zipit Wireless Inc. "The Z2 provides
teens with an immersive, yet affordable way to IM their friends without the
hassles and limitations of the home computer. We are very excited that the
Z2 is now ready for purchase at our Web site. By ordering the Z2 online
now, teens can stay connected to all their friends just in time for the
busy holiday season."
