Leverage and Development 5th Birthday Party / Safe Harbor Fund Raiser

Leverage & Development, LLC, a local consulting firm, is celebrating its 5th year in business with a combination Birthday Party and Fund Raiser for non-profit organization Safe Harbor. The public is invited. The event will be a drop-in on January 10 from 4 to 6 pm in the Auditorium of the University Center at McAlister Square.

“I am proud to be celebrating 5 years in business, but I am especially excited to have an opportunity to help Safe Harbor in their effort to provide haven and comfort to victims of domestic violence,” stated Janet W. Christy, President of Leverage & Development, LLC.

The Public is invited to the event. Attendees are asked to bring a donation of personal supplies for the Clients of Safe Harbor. Courtney Madden, Safe Harbor Director of Development, said that the shelter always has need of toiletries, school supplies, and cleaning supplies. She also shared that gift certificates for hair salons and other personal services are welcome. “It improves the self esteem of our clients when they are able to have their hair done professionally before they go to a court appearance or job interview.”

Cash donations will be accepted; checks should be made payable to Safe Harbor. Donations and checks can be mailed to: Safe Harbor, P O Box 174, Greenville SC 29602.

The University Center is helping sponsor the event by donating the use of its Auditorium. The Publix at McAlister Square is also a sponsor and is donating the Birthday Cake.

Leverage & Development, LLC is a consulting firm, based in Greer, SC, that specializes in marketing research, planning and training for Small, Woman Owned and Minority Owned Businesses. The firm also works with government, education and non-profit entities on small business and workforce development projects. Christy is the author of how-to book “Capitalizing On Being Woman Owned.”

Safe Harbor is a 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis line for victims of domestic violence. They provide a safe place to find acceptance, peace and support in rebuilding shattered lives.
