Lab Escape Brings Heat Map Visual Analysis To the Web
Improves Enterprise-Wide Analysis & Collaboration
Asheville, NC (January 29, 2008) — Asheville, North Carolina-based Lab Escape has launched two new products, Heat Map Explorer Enterprise Edition and Web Viewer Edition, bringing powerful heat map visual analysis capabilities to the web to improve analysis and collaboration in large organizations and global enterprises.
Early customers include a large financial services company using Enterprise Edition to monitor their IT infrastructure using real-time, interactive heat maps; and a corporate travel management services provider using Web Edition to detect abuse and manage effective sourcing of travel services.
Heat maps allow you to visualize large volumes of complex data so that key details and the big picture can be seen in a single view. This allows easy detection of anomalies tied to increased cost, risk or opportunities for a higher return; identification of ways to improve resource allocations; and capture and communication of critical business trends. High-value heat map applications include risk management, project portfolio analysis, market share analysis, network management and financial performance management.
Enterprise Edition is a managed reporting system designed to create standalone heat maps or integrate with existing applications and portals. It supports real-time data feeds, drill-through reports, embedded web links, and full customization. Web Viewer edition allows desktop users of Heat Map Explorer to publish fully interactive heat maps to the web, where they can be viewed by others throughout the company.
According to Trevor Lohrbeer, CEO of Lab Escape, “Heat map visual analysis is a uniquely powerful way to manage risk, control costs, and identify new opportunities and underlying trends in business data. Visualization makes it easy to discover and communicate insights quickly and clearly, both within a company and with clients, partners and investors. These new products will enable our customers to extend the impact of heat map visual analysis onto the web and improve analysis and communication throughout their organization.”
Lab Escape sells heat map solutions that help managers and executives understand critical business data in order to make better decisions. With a complete suite of heat map products, Lab Escape serves Fortune 500 and mid-size companies in the areas of business intelligence, financial performance management, market analysis, portfolio management and reporting.
