First annual “Upstate Work-at-Home Career Expo” caters to local moms

The first annual “Upstate Work-at-Home Career Expo” will showcase more than 40 work-at-home opportunities for local moms on Saturday, April 19. The free event will be held at the Greer City Gym, 108 S. Line St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Companies including Arbonne International, Southern Living AT HOME and Dynamic Realty will be in attendance to provide information on how interested individuals can pursue a career –or earn extra cash – through work-at-home activities.

According to Emily Snapp, founder of the Upstate Work-at-Home Career EXPO, there are many women that are interested in having a flexible schedule and spending more time with their families, which are both benefits of working at home, but don’t know where to start.

“I wanted to offer moms in the Upstate a way to learn about a variety of work-at-home opportunities,” said Snapp, who also created www.upstatewahms.com, an online community where working moms can connect and share their work-at-home experiences. “This career expo will provide them a starting point to help them achieve their career and financial goals.”
