Rosenfeld Einstein’s Martin Earns GBDS Designation

Upstate-based Rosenfeld Einstein, one of the Carolinas’ fastest-growing insurance organizations, announced that Rod Martin has been awarded the National Underwriter Company’s Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) designation.

The GBDS designation signifies that the recipient has passed stringent qualifications and is certified to communicate to industry regulators, industry leaders, employers and the public about the importance of group disability income protection and the consequences of inadequate disability coverage.

Attaining the designation requires recipients to demonstrate specific skill sets and mandates ongoing developmental training and educational programs. The designation also establishes a high level of moral and ethical conduct within the group disability benefits industry by detailing market conduct responsibilities.

Martin joined Rosenfeld Einstein in August, 2006 as Director of Large Group Underwriting, and has focused on financial analysis of health and welfare plans throughout the Southeast since 1996. He is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, a native of Knoxville, TN, and a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in business administration.
