Program Offers Answers for Rising Business Costs
GREENVILLE, SC – August 11, 2008 – Upstate-based Rosenfeld Einstein, a major regional insurance agent/broker, will host a complimentary presentation, “Managing Your Insurance Costs and Risk,” on September 23 in Greenville. The program will offer organizations faced with rising business insurance and operating costs new and innovative alternatives to consider in today’s volatile insurance/risk management arena.
The program, geared primarily to organizations with 100 or more employees, will present businesses with information on how to control fluctuating property, casualty, general liability, auto and workers compensation costs, notes Dan Einstein, principal at Rosenfeld Einstein. South Carolina approved a 9.8% loss costs increase in Workers Comp rates, effective July 1, 2008. The presentation will be executed in partnership with noted national consultant Captive Resources LLC.
“Many North and South Carolina organizations are struggling to deal with volatility in costs of insurance coverage, and this captive insurance program presents an intelligent path for some businesses to assume greater control of their insurance investment,” said Einstein. “In the right situation, the captive program can lower business operating costs, reduce insurance premiums, mitigate extreme volatility, and even generate retained income from underwriting and investments. We’re pleased to present this free program to interested businesses.”
Topics to be covered in the presentation include:
• The current state of the commercial insurance marketplace
• What is member owned group captive insurance and how does it work
• How companies can retain 100% of the underwriting profit and investment income from their insurance premiums
• Tax implications and benefits of the program
• Advantages of group buying power with the captive’s significant premium volume
“The real value of this one-of-a-kind initiative is in helping companies understand what options exist in the marketplace and how to maximize their insurance dollar,” noted Einstein. “The program is designed for organizations with more than 100 employees, and we hope to host businesses from across the state at this important presentation.”
“For businesses to compete in the global economy, getting control of rising insurance costs is essential for every forward-thinking organization, and we’re pleased to help them explore all options in that regard,” Einstein added.
