Clemson University Small Business Development Center "Importing Into The US" Seminar
Upstate entrepreneurs have a new resource for understanding and taking advantage of opportunities to import products from abroad. Whether the goal is to import finished products for resale, to develop raw material sources, or to bring in products to be finished locally, "Importing into the US" details the basics of what is required in the importation process. Topics covered include: legal considerations, including "informed compliance"; locating reliable suppliers; terms of trade; financing issues; the roles of freight forwarders and customs brokers; and customs entry and clearance. This course is suitable for individuals or businesses planning to import goods or supplies into the US who need to know where to start. To be held Tuesday, September 16th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Hoechst Celanese Room, Spartanburg County Library Headquarters, 151 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC. Cost is Free.
