Rosenfeld Einstein Ranked Among Best Places to Work in SC

GREENVILLE, SC – August 26, 2008 – Insurance brokerage and consulting firm Rosenfeld Einstein, one of the Southeast’s fastest-growing insurance organizations, has been ranked among South Carolina’s 20 Best Places to Work among companies with fewer than 250 employees, according to information compiled by SC BIZ magazine and Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This is the second consecutive year that Rosenfeld Einstein has been honored.

The Best Places to Work in South Carolina program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the top employers in South Carolina, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The list is made up of companies split into two groups: 20 small/medium sized companies (fewer than 250 employees) and 8 large sized companies (more than 250 employees).

Rosenfeld Einstein was ranked #3 in the 2007 Best Places to Work in South Carolina in the small/medium company category – the highest ranking attained by any Upstate firm.

The multiyear initiative to encourage S.C. companies to focus, measure and move their workplace toward excellence involved a partnership among the S.C. Chamber of Commerce; the S.C. Society for Human Resource Management’s S.C. State Council; and SC Biz News. Independent research firm Best Companies Group surveyed the participating companies. Selection was based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of a 65-question employee survey.

Recognized companies represent a snapshot of the diverse and thriving nature of South Carolina’s economy – an economy that balances traditional manufacturing and service organizations with innovative technology and "new economy" startups.

The survey and award program to identify the best places of employment in South Carolina was developed with 3 primary goals in mind:

• To develop definitive information to help existing companies in South Carolina retain their workforce,
• To promote South Carolina’s best employment opportunities to attract new workers, and
• To distinguish businesses in the state which attract and retain talented workers.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.

The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall process in South Carolina, analyzing the data and using their expertise to determine the final rankings. A minimum of 64% of company employees were required to complete the survey for the company to be evaluated.
