ASHEVILLE – Carolina Connect lived up to its name last year for Sean McDonald and Matthew Raker of Jute Networks.
“We were just two guys and a dream, but at that event we met someone who has since turned into our most critical investor,” McDonald recalled.
Since the business networking event last year, Jute Networks has grown into a thriving startup, winning an N.C. Idea Grant as well as backing from the Advantage Opportunity Fund. The company develops Web software for professionals to keep track of their online networks.
