PinPoint GeoTech Names Bob Magee Sales Director

Clemson-based GPS Provider to Local Governments Expands Sales Efforts

(CLEMSON, SC, September 18, 2008)—PinPoint GeoTech, which delivers simple, effective and affordable GPS solutions to local governments, has appointed veteran technology executive Bob Magee as its Director of Sales.

“We are delighted to have Bob join the PinPoint GeoTech team at this crucial time, when PinPoint GeoTech is rocketing in sales,” Jim Oswald, PinPoint GeoTech CEO, said. “Bob brings successful experience and market savvy that will help spur new growth for our flourishing company.”

PinPoint GeoTech provides government agencies with simple, affordable and effective solutions that reduce risks, minimize costs and benefit the environment. PinPoint GeoTech’s software and wireless hardware solutions, like the popular PinPoint -- PublicWorks™, help these agencies cope with critical issues such as rising fuel costs and protecting the environment, including codes enforcement, disaster management, water works, risk management, and transportation.

“It’s an honor to work with the highly respected and recognized team at PinPoint GeoTech,” Magee said. “PinPoint GeoTech has great products that help local governments at a time when they face critical challenges like fuel costs, the environment and customer satisfaction.”

Magee was sales manager of Trust Imaging Systems in Malvern, PA, for more than 12 years, serving as a relationship manager in public and private sectors, head of business development and a member of the development team. He also was a senior sales representative of Sungard Asset Management Systems in Charlotte, where he was responsible for business development and add-on services. The Western Carolina University graduate was a second vice president for Northern Trust Company in Chicago, responsible for system sales, relationship building, research, and portfolio growth. He also was a member of the development staff of the Daniel Stowe Botanical Foundation in Belmont, NC.

Tested in collaboration with the City of Clemson, SC, the Company’s initial product, now known as PinPoint – PublicWorks, is a data collection and dispatching tool for City Public Works Departments used in garbage trucks to proactively mark and categorize curbside debris piles awaiting pickup in the city. A report is generated detailing daily maps and routes for debris crews to follow in collecting curbside debris. Typical savings in fuel alone from existing installations indicate that a city will return the investment within one year of deployment. PinPoint – Public Works is part of the PinPoint – GeoWorks Government Solution Suite that addresses critical issues of local governments.
