IEEE / SAE Meeting and Tour at CU-ICAR - Collaborative innovation between the Automotive and Information Technology industries

Upstate Engineers,

The IEEE has a special meeting this month. It's a joint meeting with the local Society of Automotive Engineers Chapter, SAE, and will be held at the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research, CU-ICAR. Our speaker will be Dr Joachim Taiber, Head of the BMW Information Technology Research Center, BMW - ITRC at CU-ICAR. Dr Taiber will speak on "Collaborative innovation between the Automotive and Information Technology industries - reinventing automotive business models and business processes with IT innovations".

There will be a tour of the Carroll Campbell Graduate Engineering Center after the presentation. Dr Todd Hubing, Michelin Endowed Chair in Vehicular Electronic Systems Integration, will conduct the tour and will give us a inside look at electrical engineering at CU-ICAR.

Note that we have a early start time to take advantage of our special speaker from BMW and the tour. Your associates from work are welcome to attend this special meeting.

Even if you are not a electrical or automotive engineer, this will be a great networking meeting and a chance to see the insides of CU-ICAR.
