New Carolina 2008 Report to our Future; The pursuit of competitiveness is a never-ending process.

At the USC Economic Outlook Conference, we released the 2008 New Carolina Report to our Future.

With the bold manifesto on the cover of this year's report, we are reminded that South Carolina's leadership on the Council on Competitiveness has laid the groundwork for what has now become the driving force behind the Competitiveness Initiative and building economic clusters.

As Darla Moore said, "The pursuit of competitiveness is a never-ending process. New Carolina provides the guiding light in the process."

We know New Carolina alone cannot make the changes that need to be made throughout this state; so, we endeavor to support our Champions and all of South Carolina's leadership, and this report is one way for us to do that. The Competitiveness Initiative is a journey for the long haul, for the future of every one of us, and our children and their children.

We can only work towards a New Carolina Rising as One.
