Carolina Safety Consultants Adds Mike Ellenburg as Director of Field Operations and Construction Safety

Greenville, SC — David J. De Vita, president of Greenville-based Carolina Safety Consultants (CSC), announces that Mike Ellenburg has joined the firm as Director of Field Operations and Construction Safety. In this role, Ellenburg is responsible for developing and managing the firm’s client relationships in the construction sector, providing a wide range of safety consulting services to general contractors and specialty contractors throughout the Carolinas. His ongoing activities include conducting weekly and random safety inspections at client jobsites to ensure workplace safety and compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Ellenburg first gained experience as a safety instructor, and later as safety advisor, while serving in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his construction safety background, Ellenburg has served as a safety advisor for warehouse operations. A resident of Anderson for more than 20 years, he is a Life Member of the U.S. Marine Corps League and is a Unit Commander for the Electric City Young Marines. Ellenburg is actively involved in the community and is currently serving as the coach of a youth basketball team. He has previously coached youth baseball and served as a baseball umpire. Ellenburg has also taught Sunday School and has been responsible for starting several Awana Clubs in South Carolina.

Earlier this year, Carolina Safety Consultants introduced a comprehensive, self-administered, Safety Risk-Level Assessment test designed to raise awareness of safety issues that can affect a company’s bottom line.
