The President's Circle and The Mayoral Collection

President’s Circle: "The Mayoral Collection” hosted by Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling

Saturday, January 24th, 6 to 8pm
Deanna Bowdish, board president of the Arts Council of Beaufort County, is pleased to announce the 2009 President's Circle series, an incredible chance to see art in the Lowcountry home environment. The series educates consumers by showing how art appreciators have become collectors of local artists, one step, one frame, and one acquisition at a time.

Each President's Circle features local artists, collectors, and private collections in a range of aesthetics and styles; in Mayor Keyserling's, guests will find an international array, including a fantastical maritime scene by Cabell Heyward.

"There is a reason that Beaufort County hosts two of the 'Top 100 Small Art Towns in the Country,'" Deanna Bowdish explained. "Beaufort County has a wealth of talented artists, incredible galleries, a wide-selection of performing arts opportunities, and many art collectors. These collectors live everywhere from Pigeon Point to Hilton Head, and they are building their collections on local artists."

Additional circles are planned for 2009, including one hosted by new collectors in the Islands of Beaufort, who've furnished their home with functionally decorative pieces designed by Deanna Bowdish. "Surprises are planned!" she mentioned.

Only 20 tickets are available, at $20 each, for an evening of food, drink and socializing with collectors and artists in unique and inspired settings, to benefit the Arts Council of Beaufort County. Advanced ticket purchases required: 843-379-2787 and visit for details.
