Immedion Achieves SAS 70 Type II Certification

Greenville, SC (January 14, 2009) – Immedion, a Greenville, SC based provider of data center and managed IT services, announced the company has successfully completed an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement of Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II examination. In achieving SAS 70 Type II certification, Immedion establishes the company’s adherence to stringent, industry-accepted auditing standards for service companies and offers greater assurance to clients, through an independent third party auditor, that policies and processes associated with physical security, logical security and change control are effective in the delivery of client services. Immedion achieved SAS 70 Type II certification just over one year after the company opened for business in October, 2007, and just seven months after achieving Type I certification in March, 2008.

SAS-70 Type I was an audit of Immedion’s accounting and service procedures. Immedion demonstrated consistent methods in the delivery of services, offering proof of reliable service to each client and demonstrating consistency in both operations and administration. Type II piggybacks on the Type I audit assuring documented processes are being adhered to over a span of time and changes recommended as part of the Type I audit are implemented.
