Trade Route rings in Chinese New Year by hosting free Feng Shui demonstrations, offering discounts and giveaways

Trade Route, an import furniture and accessories store, will host a Chinese New Year Celebration on Friday, Jan. 30, through Sunday, Feb. 1.

The retail shop, which is located at The Shops at Greenridge, 1125 Woodruff Road, Suite 1910 (next to Ulta), will have select items on sale, Feng Shui artists performing demonstrations, as well as gift bags and light refreshments (while supplies last) for attendees throughout the three-day celebration. Additionally, there will be drawings for items such as a $250 gift certificate, jewelry, Thai silk lamp and lucky bamboo plant over the weekend.

According to Sherry Smid, owner of Trade Route, Chinese New Year is one of the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays.

“Because our items are handcrafted and imported from Asian countries, including China, it’s important for us to offer activities to honor the Chinese New Year,” said Smid. “This celebration is designed to thank our regular customers, as well as attract new individuals into our store to showcase what we have to offer.”
