Jackson-Dawson Open Charlotte Office

GREENVILLE, S.C. – JD Motorsports, a subsidiary of Jackson-Dawson Marketing Solutions, South Carolina’s second largest marketing communications agency, has opened a Charlotte office, it was announced today. The new office, which is located just north of Charlotte in Mooresville, N.C., is in the same motorsports complex that houses Red Bull Racing and Roush/Fenway Racing.
As part of the expansion, JD Motorsports has acquired KX2 Performance Group, a Mooresville-based firm with over 30 years of staff experience in motorsports marketing. With the opening of the Charlotte office, JD Motorsports also adds several new clients to its roster.
“Our desire to have a presence in the Charlotte area has been in development for some time,” said Jackson-Dawson Marketing Solutions and JD Motorsports Founder and Chairman Larry Jackson. “This is a milestone in our history. This makes geographical and business sense, not only because we have clients in Charlotte and the surrounding area, but because there is a lot of crossover with our existing motorsports clients and NASCAR.”
JD Motorsports is headquartered in Greenville, S. C., and is a fully-integrated motorsports marketing communications agency offering strategic planning, advertising, public relations, event planning, video production, website development, sales training and fulfillment services. JD Motorsports experience includes BMW, Volvo, Porsche, Ford, Monster Energy Drink, Menzies Motorsports and Sony. The company has experience in the world’s leading motorsports series including NASCAR, Formula 1, NHRA, American Le Mans, SCORE, Best in the Desert, Rock Crawling, AMA, Pro-Cup Series and the Mustang Challenge Series. JD Motorsports has also competed in and provided logistics for two transcontinental road rallies – Bullrun 2006 and the 2008 Fireball Run.
“With our experience in motorsports and the automotive industry, this was a natural evolution,” said Darrell Jackson, president and CEO of Jackson-Dawson Marketing Solutions and JD Motorsports. “Having a Charlotte presence helps us move closer to achieving our ultimate vision of becoming the premier integrated marketing communications provider in the Southeast. And although getting more involved in NASCAR is exciting, this move also allows us to reach out to other, non-motorsports businesses in one of the country’s fastest growing markets.”

JD Motorsports’ Charlotte office will be staffed by three people. Kenny Hazlett will manage the office, Alan Meudt will service the accounts, and Kim Henry will provide administrative support.
“Jackson-Dawson’s reputation and equity are very strong in motorsports’ circles,” said Hazlett. “The combination of integrated creative and logistical resources provided by Jackson-Dawson will be welcomed throughout NASCAR circles. There are very few, if any, agencies that can provide the breadth and variety of services offered by Jackson-Dawson and JD Motorsports.”
Jackson-Dawson Marketing Solutions provides a variety of integrated marketing communications services for blue-chip brands such as BMW, Bloom and Food Lion Grocery Stores, Blue Bird School Buses, Clemson University, Greenville Hospital System, Milliken & Company, Oldcastle Architectural Products, The Palmetto Bank, The American Red Cross, Volvo and Verizon Wireless.
