Will President Obama Follow the Trailblazers to NHA 09?
The National Hydrogen Association Conference and Expo 2009 is coming to Columbia, SC, March 30-April 3. We are very excited to host this international event, and in preparation some of SC's hydrogen and fuel cell Trailblazers are reaching out to other industry leaders worldwide letting them know why Columbia is a famously hot destination for fuel cells and a surprisingly cool place to work and live.
Our first Trailblazer message comes from City of Columbia Mayor Bob Coble and University of South Carolina President Harris Pastides. In an open letter to President Obama, they explain why he should attend NHA 09.
Now is the time for change in our country, and among the changes needed is our approach to energy. President Obama has stated that “we will double the production of alternative energy in the next three years”…”constructing fuel-efficient cars and buildings; and developing the new energy technologies that will lead to even more jobs, more savings, and a cleaner, safer planet in the bargain.”
We thought that you might also be interested in coming to Columbia and attending NHA 09 for these same reasons, and we hope that you will join us March 29 – April 3, 2009.
