CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
National Hydrogen Association Conference
Columbia, SC
March 29–April 3
From March 29 to April 3, 2009, the world’s leading energy, automotive, technology, and industry players will be in Columbia for the National Hydrogen Association’s 20th Anniversary Annual Conference. The conference brings together more than 1,000 attendees from 300 of the industry’s leading companies for the largest and longest-running hydrogen conference in North America. Companies such as BMW Group, Air Products, Chevron, Shell Hydrogen, General Motors, Toyota, Daimler Chrysler, Volkswagen, Linde, Praxair, Plug Power, and Westinghouse will attend. Twelve countries are expected to be represented.
What: Volunteers are needed to help with different events during the conference such as:
• Assisting with conference sessions and activities
• Greeting and providing information to guests
• Running registration tables
• Making sure that the conference attendees know how great SC is
Knowledge about the hydrogen industry is not required, and training will be provided before the conference.
All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and a $10 food voucher good at participating area restaurants.
When: Volunteers are needed to fill various shifts from Sunday, March 29 through Friday, April 3. Volunteers can choose to work for just a couple of hours at one event or at multiple events during the conference.
Who: This is a terrific opportunity for students and professionals in fields related to hospitality, science, engineering, and environmental awareness, as well as for members of the general public who want to learn more about the future of hydrogen while being an ambassador for their city and state.
