College of Charleston Holds Business Writing Seminar

The College of Charleston School of Business and Economics will host “Write for Results”, a business writing professional seminar. The two-day seminars will be held in May.

The seminars will teach business executives and administrative professionals how to write impactful business messages and documents in a style, tone and format accepted in the workplace. The content for each session will be tailored to the needs of the professional group and types of written correspondence produced by them.

The first session held on May 7-8 will be geared toward administrative assistants, office managers and others that oversee day-to-day operations, support senior executives and coordinate various office and human resource responsibilities.

The second session on May 14-15 is geared toward young professionals, managers, sales reps, project leaders and others involved with client/customer relationships, product/service sales or overall business performance.

Both seminars will be held in the Thaddeus Street Education Center on the College of Charleston campus.

The instructor of the courses will be Sandy Krezmien-Funk, a College of Charleston instructor in Business Communication, Public Relations Writing and Public Speaking. She worked for Owens Corning as communication director for Latin American operations and has over 10 years of experience in Fortune 500 corporate and marketing communications.
