5th Annual Homeland Security Innovation Conference Focuses on Cyber Terrorism

In its fifth year, the Homeland Security Innovation Conference focuses on innovative technologies addressing terrorist and natural threats to the nation's security, and promotes the role of the Charleston region in bringing government, business and military entities together to develop solutions. This year will focus on cyber terrorism and feature presentations on the current state and efforts against cyber terrorism and solutions being developed in the Charleston region to strengthen and protect our critical infrastructure.

Highlights of the conference include:
• Flight on a C-17
• Kick-off reception “Salute to Military”
• Keynote address by Dr. Thomas Cellucci, Chief Commercialization Officer, Department of Homeland Security
• Presentations on securing information and networked infrastructure, cyber crime, critical infrastructure, advanced security cluster development in the Charleston region and much more
• Exhibition hall featuring demonstrations of technology advancements in advanced security

The event is targeted to government contractors, military leaders, business executives, economic development professionals, safety managers, first responders, homeland security consultants and researchers interested in the latest updates on potential homeland security threats as well as innovative solutions from local and regional organizations.

The conference will take place May 19-21 at SPAWAR Systems Center Atlantic. The cost to attend is $245 for members of the Charleston Chamber, government and military and $395 for non members.
