Imagine Center Grand Opening Event Scheduled for May

Greenville, SC: Redemption World Outreach Center’s new innovative family fitness and community outreach facility, set to open in May 2009 will be a new fitness facility in the Upstate designed to transform both the physical and emotional wellness of its members by providing world class fitness amenities in an environment of community and support.

“This facility is going to be nothing like this city has ever seen. I believe we have an opportunity to impact our city together on a greater level than we’ve ever impacted before. When you find the need, you find the call,” said RWOC Senior Pastor Ron Carpenter. “Imagine a first-class, affordable fitness facility that also helps reduce crime, takes kids off the streets, offers midnight basketball, helps restore and renew bodies and families, all in a family environment no matter what level of life people are on. Buildings never fix things, but they can facilitate the programs and Ministry to grow people. I’ll never use people to build buildings, but we’ll forever use buildings to build people.”

With exceptional facilities including three all wood collegiate basketball courts, a suspended indoor track, free weight areas, women’s only fitness areas, spinning, yoga and other aerobic classes and even a full service Wi-Fi café offering healthy meals all day long, the Imagine Center will offer the best and most up to date equipment and facilities for the members’ health and fitness experience. The Imagine Center will also offer a variety of activities and community outreach programs, such as midnight basketball that will give children from the inner city a place to go and be active in a positive environment. There will also be family seminars and classes offered about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

Additional services of free clinics, health seminars with local experts, and an exceptional staff of personal trainers sets the Imagine Center apart from a traditional fitness center. The facility’s strong commitment to the community will make the Imagine Center a place for its members to develop lifelong wellness habits and connections with one another.

Profits from the IMAGINE Center, unlike any other fitness facility in the region, are put directly back into Upstate community development, inner city outreach, job connection services, teen impact, crime prevention, small business startup initiatives, and other community programs focused on improving quality of life right here at home.
