Imagine Center to Spark Economic Development, Creates 40 Upstate Jobs

Greenville, SC: Redemption World Outreach Center’s new innovative family fitness and community outreach facility, set to open in May 2009 will create 40+ new jobs for aspiring personal trainers, health and fitness instructors, sales associates and administrative staff in the Upstate.

“This facility is going to be nothing like this city has ever seen. I believe we have an opportunity to impact our city together on a greater level than we’ve ever impacted before. When you find the need, you find the call,” said RWOC Senior Pastor Ron Carpenter. “Imagine a first-class, affordable fitness facility that also helps reduce crime, takes kids off the streets, offers midnight basketball, helps restore and renew bodies and families, all in a family environment no matter what level of life people are on. Buildings never fix things, but they can facilitate the programs and Ministry to grow people. I’ll never use people to build buildings, but we’ll forever use buildings to build people.”

The Imagine Center’s family-friendly environment is designed to transform both the physical and emotional wellness of its members by providing world-class fitness amenities in an environment of community and support. Offering numerous health programs, seminars and clinics for members of all ages and activity levels, the Imagine Center will begin taking applications on March 23rd in search of “ambitious, inspired and passionate people committed to dedicating their time and energy to helping others break perceived physical and emotional limitations off of their lives and ultimately achieve a higher quality of life,” according to Facility Director, Shawn Kephart.

Profits from the IMAGINE Center, unlike any other fitness facility in the region, are put directly back into Upstate community development, inner city outreach, job connection services, teen impact, crime prevention, small business startup initiatives, and other community programs focused on improving quality of life right here at home.
For more information on job openings, personal or corporate memberships and more, please contact Shawn Kephart, Facility Director @ 864-420-2992 or skephart@rwoc.org.
