Invenca LLC and Southern Measurement Company have completed an agreement to co-develop downstream biotech and pharmaceutical markets in the southeastern US for Invenca's line of high performance liquid chromatography columns . Terry Layne , President of SMC practiced liquid chromatography for 10 years before founding SMC in the late 1980's . SMC serves labs from Miami to Richmond , Va. Invenca is a start-up , high tech company located in Mauldin , S.C. which is commercializing deep channel fiber technology for chromatographic applications under license from Clemson University .
