Upstate Renewable Energy Firm Industrial Innovative Controls Signs On As Green Section Sponsor At Grow Expo ’09
Greenville, SC – May 14, 2009 – Industrial Innovative Controls’ wind power division, Viento Energy Solutions, is taking the upstate by storm. The renewable energy firm is the lead sponsor for the “green” area at Grow Expo ’09, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s premier event celebrating small business and entrepreneurship.
“We’re getting lots of interest at events like these from small towns and businesses in the southeast to help them convert a part or all of their electricity usage to wind energy,” says Joseph Ramirez, president of Industrial Innovative Controls. “It is my dream to one day drive through rural areas of this region and see wind turbines being used as the main energy source for communities,” Ramirez adds.
IIC is sponsoring the “green” area at this year’s Grow Expo starting May 19 at the Carolina First Exposition Center in Greenville. Kick-off is at 11:00 am, featuring Stewart Spinks, and the Exhibitor Hall opens at 11:30 am.
Ramirez expects his Viento Energy Solutions trade show booth will be a hub of activity for individuals, business owners and town leaders who want to explore the possibilities of using wind energy to power their homes, organizations or communities.
“The Chamber is very excited to have Industrial Innovative Controls as the anchor business for our “green” division at this year’s expo. We are especially pleased that IIC is based in the upstate and has just launched its wind power division – Viento Energy Solutions,” says Claudia Wise, manager of small business with the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
“We are capitalizing on the great potential for wind energy usage that exists in the upstate and other areas of the southeast,” says Ramirez. “Our wind turbines are the only ones in the nation that can generate electricity in very low winds allowing the southeast to take advantage of an abundant source of clean energy,” notes Ramirez.
