NEXTSTART TO APPOINT YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS FOR SUMMER PROGRAM
Meet the Innovative Students Who Will Gain Access to Capital and Resources to Launch South Carolina Ventures
Background: NEXTSTART (www.nextstart.org) is a summer entrepreneurial immersion program designed to help young entrepreneurs launch new companies through mentoring, education and networking experiences over the nine-week program. It is a collaborative effort sponsored by Clemson University’s Renaissance Center and Spiro Institute, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, SC Launch!, and the NEXT organization of regional technology entrepreneurs in Greenville, SC. In addition to business development activities, each company will receive a $5,000 seed equity investment from a private investment fund to help launch their business.

Where: Innovate Building, River Street
Signifance: The NEXTSTART program, modeled after the Tech Stars program in Boulder, Colorado, gives young entpreneurs access to capital and resources to establish and grow entrepreneurial ventures in South Carolina.
