When Terri Herren, owner of the Herren Dimension, makes contact with small to medium size companies, the majority of owners express frustration with ever-increasing employment laws. Because their companies are not large enough to have trained HR professionals on staff, controllers and operations managers assume human resources duties along with other responsibilities. HR Boot Camp was initiated in March 2009 to provide hands-on training and practical resources for these non-HR business professionals.

A HR Practices Review is completed prior to Boot Camp so that focus can be directed to the company’s greatest needs. Training is typically conducted on-site and participants are provided with a comprehensive manual of HR procedures, checklists, and forms to manage recruiting and selection through termination processes. After Boot Camp, participants have the reassurance of contacting The Herren Dimension for answers to their on-going HR questions. They also receive employment law updates and new procedures.
