Terra To Toast Third Anniversary, Award August 1
West Columbia, S.C. (July 17, 2009) – Terra will be toasting its third anniversary on Saturday, August 1, with complementary local peach bellinis for dinner guests as they enjoy a one-of-a-kind menu with the latest culinary creations from Chef Mike Davis. The celebration comes on the heels of news that Terra has received the 2009 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, an honor the restaurant has earned every year since its inception.
Bellinis consist of pure peach purée and sparkling wine. One of Italy’s most popular cocktails, they are often served as a celebratory drink and exemplify Terra’s commitment to combining the finest European culinary traditions with a Southern flair. Terra’s signature take on the cocktail blends a scrumptious puree of South Carolina peaches and a smooth, crisp Prosecco.
“Terra was created to share the art of simple food with the Midlands in a really approachable, enjoyable way,” said Chef Davis, who strives to use the freshest and finest ingredients in creative new ways. “We feel that’s a mission worth toasting with our loyal patrons!” He is also committed to bringing local meat and produce to the table, including hosting an upcoming August 13 Slow Food Columbia benefit at the restaurant, which will highlight local food, farms and culinary traditions.
To make reservations for August 1, call (803) 791-3443. The restaurant opens at 5 p.m. Because Terra uses only the finest available local peaches for its bellinis, early reservations are recommended to ensure enjoyment of this signature cocktail.
