Addison Homes' Usher Featured In National Green Building Magazine

Todd Usher, founder and president of Addison Homes, LLC, is featured in the August 2009 issue of EcoHome magazine online. An interview with Usher appears in the “On The Front Lines” section of the magazine, which is the sustainable housing industry's resource for green product information, green construction practices, innovative green homes, and green resource management.
A recognized regional leader in green building and remodeling, Usher was interviewed by EcoHome Managing Editor Jennifer Goodman about his overall philosophy of green building, as well as his challenges and accomplishments during the past six years of building more sustainable homes in the Upstate area of South Carolina.
Greenville-based Addison Homes LLC constructs all of its homes to the rigorous ENERGY STAR® and EarthCraft House™ standards, and in 2007 was named EarthCraft House™ Regional Builder of the Year. Last year, Usher was honored as the 2008 Sustainable Communities Champion by Upstate Forever, and was awarded the 2008 Individual Environmental Stewardship Award by the Upstate chapter of the U.S.Green Building Council.
Usher holds numerous industry designations including Certified Green Professional, South Carolina Master Builder, EarthCraft House™ Technical Advisor, National Green Building Program™ Accredited Verifier for the NAHB Research Center and ENERGY STAR® certified home energy rater. He most recently earned the LEED Professional Accreditation (LEED AP) from the Green Building Certification Institute.
