Addison Homes Featured In National Energy Magazine

Addison Homes, LLC was featured in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Home Energy magazine, a national publication that features objective and practical information on residential energy efficiency, performance, comfort, and affordability. The Home Energy article focused on Addison Homes’ work with Habitat For Humanity of Greenville County and the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority to build and qualify all homes built by the two organizations to the ENERGY STAR® and EarthCraft House™ standards.

Todd Usher, founder and president of Addison Homes, LLC, is an ENERGY STAR® certified home energy rater and has worked with Habitat For Humanity of Greenville County for the past two years to model, inspect and qualify all of its new homes to the green building standards of ENERGY STAR® and EarthCraft House™. Usher was honored as the 2008 Sustainable Communities Champion by Upstate Forever and awarded the 2008 Individual Environmental Stewardship Award by the Upstate chapter of the US Green Building Council. Usher holds numerous industry designations including Certified Green Professional, LEED Professional Accreditation, South Carolina Master Builder, EarthCraft House™ Technical Advisor, and National Green Building Program™ Accredited Verifier for the NAHB Research Center.

Greenville, SC-based Addison Homes LLC constructs all of its homes to the rigorous ENERGY STAR® and EarthCraft House™ standards, and was named 2007 EarthCraft House™ Regional Builder of the Year.
