USC Upstate Unveils New Web Site Design
The University of South Carolina Upstate recently unveiled a newly redesigned Web site. The new design is much more visually-pleasing and replaces the previous template that had been used for six years.
According to Web Developer Nick Catto, the new layout is wider to reflect the increase in widescreen monitors and offers more space for content. “The overall page size has been reduced by half to save on loading time and bandwidth costs. Also, site wide navigation has been completely revised and organized horizontally across the entire site.”
Catto, who spent four months of research and development on the new design, plans to continuously integrate interactive elements such as the featured news slideshow and dropdown menu bar.
