JMV Management Services Makes Acquisition and Hires Hall-Ragland

Jill M. Vales, President of JMV Management Services, announced today that the firm has acquired substantially all of the assets of Synergy Consulting, LLC and has hired Dana Hall-Ragland, its founder, as Senior HR Consultant. JMV Management Services, now in its fourth year of operations, provides on-demand human resources and finance expertise to small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Synergy will continue to operate its marketing and publishing divisions.

“This acquisition will allow our HR Experts On Demand division to strengthen its team and provide more comprehensive HR products and services to our clients,” Vales says. In particular, Vales says the acquisition will allow HR Experts On Demand to offer expanded training and services related to teamwork, customer service and safety.

“Our two companies share the same philosophy when it comes to providing unique, customer-focused human resources services” Hall-Ragland adds. “We both recognize the need for small business owners and their management teams—who by default must wear many hats—to receive customized human resources support that helps them succeed and grow, as well as comply with numerous labor and employment laws. When we looked at our respective strengths, we realized that we could better serve the small business community by combining our unique talents and abilities.”

Vales says that the firm currently is reviewing the newly combined resources and selecting best practices, products and services to offer. “This acquisition will enable HR Experts On Demand to continue to grow at a rapid pace,” she says. “We now have more resources to take on additional clients throughout the Upstate while continuing to provide uninterrupted, quality services to our current clients.”

As Senior HR Consultant, Hall-Ragland will provide human resource management and consulting services for clients, while assisting Vales with product development, marketing, and quality assurance. Hall-Ragland has more than 17 years of human resources experience. Before running her own consulting firm for two years, she developed a variety of national human resources programs and initiatives for Verizon Wireless during her seven years with the national telecommunications leader. Hall-Ragland, a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana, also possesses a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and has been nationally certified as a Professional in Human Resources.

“Dana is very creative and has a broad base of experience, including more than eight years in operations, marketing and public relations roles,” Vales says. “Her diverse experience helps provide a comprehensive perspective on how HR can effectively interact with and contribute to the rest of a small business’s operations.
