Hosted Solutions' Rob Carter To Discuss Hidden Savings In Corporate IT Budgets Through Use of Virtualization, Cloud Computing

RALEIGH, NC, October 8, 2009 – Hosted Solutions (www.hostedsolutions.com), the East Coast’s premier provider of IT infrastructure as a service (IaaS), today announced that Rob Carter, the company’s director of operations, will be the keynote speaker at next week’s Innovation in RTP event, to be held at the Research Triangle Park’s headquarters.
Carter will speak on uncovering hidden savings in corporate IT budgets. He will address increasingly popular topics such as network virtualization, cloud computing, applications management and more.

In his role as operations director, Rob is responsible for overseeing the company’s central operations organization and all of Hosted Solutions’ managed services throughout the East Coast, . Before joining Hosted Solutions, Rob served as the Director of Quality Assurance for Motricity, where he increased productivity and built a 24x7x365 Network Operations Center that was able to scale as the business grew from $35 million in revenues to more than $100 million over a two-year period. Prior to that, he was with SunGard Availability Services.

Innovation in RTP is a series of monthly talks by various companies and organizations based in and around The Research Triangle Park. The goals are to build awareness of companies in and near the Research Triangle Park, and of their local and global impact, as well as to strengthen the community of professionals in the Park, with the hope of increasing innovation and new business opportunities.
