Florence SC - The Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT)has announced a new partnersip with Alioscopyy@USA, a 3D visualization technology provider offering one of the most unique and forward-looking ways to deliver 3D content without the need for special viewing glasses.
The 3D/VR Center at the SiMT will develop and showcase finished autostereoscopic 3D content playing on a proprietary HD LCD display. The goal is to help client companies and organizations extend their advertising, digital signage, and visual communications.
With the growth of stereoscopic 3D films like Pixar's Toy Story and the anticipated James Cameron film, AVATAR, interest in "glasses-free 3D" is taking off.
Industries ideal for autostereo display solutions include retail, hospitality, medical visualization, serious games, casinos, corporate lobbies, museums, planetariums, trade shows and exhibitions.
"We are excited to bring new Autostereo Technology to the Southeastern US, and present the next way 3D entertainment, digital signage and visulaization will be created and consumed- without glasses," said Mike Mazen, Assistant Director of the SiMT.
