Zimmerman Earns Realtor Emeritus Distinction

George Zimmerman, CCIM, of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine recently was one of nine Realtors recognized by the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors (GGAR) for obtaining Realtor Emeritus status. To be eligible for this distinction, one has to have held membership in the National Association of Realtors (NAR) for a cumulative period of 40 years. Zimmerman has been a member for 43 years.

Zimmerman is Senior Vice President of Coldwell Banker Commercial Caine. He has been with the company since 1965 and works from the Greenville office. He has been involved in almost every aspect of the company’s commercial, industrial, office, multi-family, residential, and retail site location operations. He specializes in land and industrial brokerage and industrial/service development.

Zimmerman has been recognized as Greenville Board of Realtors’ Realtor of the Year and was one of the first brokers in the state to earn the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, an honor obtained by only 6 percent of real estate professionals in the nation. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served in the U.S. Navy. He has been an active member of several community organizations, including United Way of Greenville County, Boy Scouts of America, the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, the City of Greenville Revitalization Task Force, and the City of Greer Land Use Committee. He has served as the President of the Board of Directors of Gateway House and the Greenville Board of Realtors. He is Past Chairman of the City of Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission.
