Upstate Entrepreneur Forum Announces Quarterly Lunches for 2010

As part of its 2010 program, the Upstate Entrepreneur Forum (UEF) will be introducing a series of Quarterly Small Business Networking Luncheons called POWER LUNCH.
Based on the unique POWER-NOTE format originally developed earlier this year by Gil Gerretsen (CEO of BizTrek Marketing Mentors), these events will provide a productive mix of networking opportunities and business skills training.
The quarterly events will be hosted by the UEF (Network Moderator) Dan Garvin. Gil Gerretsen will reprise his roll as moderator for the speaker portion of the events.
Each event will focus on the development of a specific business skills as follows:
• First Quarter - Funding - How to secure loans or investments for your business.
• Second Quarter - Staffing - How to get employees to do the right things.
• Third Quarter- Sales - How to effectively generate more revenues for your business.
• Fourth Quarter - Leadership - How to be a more effective decision maker.

WHO QUALIFIES? Like all UEF events, there are no membership or tuition fees for these POWER LUNCH sessions (there will be a charge for the meal). However, participants must meet the following criteria. They must be a small business OWNER who does business in Greenville County, SC. The “ownership” test is found on your calling card. If you OWN the brand or logo on your calling card, you are allowed to participate in the POWER LUNCH events. If you do NOT own the brand or logo, but you ARE the HIGHEST RANKING agent of that brand or logo in the vicinity, then you are also eligible to participate. If either of these two conditions do not apply, then you are NOT eligible to attend and you WILL be turned away.
TIMING: The events will begin at 11:45am and conclude by 1:15pm. The events will likely be held at the Carolina First Convention Center, however this will be confirmed before each event.
STRUCTURE: Like the original "POWER-NOTE" events, there are three components:
1) A 20-minute structured opportunity for members to connect with new people who could be important to the growth and strength of their business. This might include referral sources, prospects, vendors or peers.
2) While eating lunch, members will be provided with a 40-minute program focused on business best practices or skills … with the specific objective of providing members with new and fresh insights into important areas of their business.
3) The meeting will conclude with a 20-minute unstructured opportunity to connect with the presenter(s) and other members in attendance.

NOTIFICATION LIST: Anyone interested in receiving updates about the events should send an email to Dan Garvin at (danieljgarvin@gmail.com)
