Michelle Usher Named Rising Star Award Finalist

Michelle Usher, Vice President of Addison Homes, LLC and President of Addison Consulting, LLC, was named one of five finalists for the 2009 Suzanne Thaler Rising Star Award. The annual award recognizes outstanding accomplishments by women in business.

Usher was selected as a finalist for her contributions to the growth of Addison Homes, LLC and the establishment of Addison Consulting, LLC. Usher joined Addison Homes in 2007 after a successful 15-year marketing career with Milliken & Co. She worked to associate and execute the Addison Homes brand with energy efficient, green homes. As a result, the Greenville-based homebuilder has won numerous industry awards and has been recognized regionally and nationally as a leader in green building and remodeling. In 2007, Addison Homes was named Regional EarthCraft House™ Builder of the Year. In 2008, the company was recognized with the Sustainable Communities Champion Award by Upstate Forever, and also was recognized for the Individual Environmental Stewardship Award from the Upstate chapter of the U.S.Green Building Council.
