Upstate Hospital Sole Recipient Of National Satisfaction Award

EASLEY, SC Baptist Easley Hospital has been named the first and only winner of the Press Ganey Partner of Choice Award, in recognition of the hospital’s unprecedented achievement in patient, physician, and staff satisfaction.
At Wednesday’s annual National Client Conference, Baptist Easley Hospital received the inaugural award recognizing their achieving the seemingly unachievable—attaining scores in the top 10 percent in patient satisfaction physician satisfaction, and employee satisfaction surveys.
Press Ganey is a national consultancy that works with 10,000 health care facilities (including 40 percent of the nation’s hospitals) to improve quality of care and financial performance. The Partner of Choice award—because it requires excellence in physician, staff, and patient satisfaction—has never been awarded to any hospital. This is the first.
Each year, members of Press Ganey gauge patient satisfaction through surveys. Employees and physicians are also surveyed to ensure everyone’s needs are recognized and acted upon. Only Baptist Easley has ever achieved 90-plus percentile in all three categories.

About Baptist Easley
Baptist Easley Hospital has been part of the community since 1958. It was built, in part, through donations of local mill workers, who each gave “one day’s pay” each year during the development process. The 109-bed hospital is a general acute care facility providing services such as surgery, obstetrics, MRI, CT Scan, and emergency and outpatient care, as well as cardiopulmonary services.
On Oct. 1, 2009, Baptist Easley entered into a joint venture with Greenville Hospital System— a collaboration that will enhance health care in the Upstate by increasing access, improving quality, and facilitating the coordination of care in our hospital.
