Coldwell Banker Caine Acquires ERA Riverside in Greer
Deal Marks Caine Company’s Second Acquisition in Second Half of 2009

Greenville, S.C. – Dec. 7, 2009 – Coldwell Banker Caine announced today the acquisition of downtown Greer-based ERA Riverside, a firm comprised of 15 agents located at 218 Trade Street. The deal comes on the heels of Caine’s merger with Real Estate Associates in Seneca in September 2009.

“Although the past year has been a tough one for the real estate market nationwide and locally, Coldwell Banker Caine has taken the opportunity to look for new growth opportunities in communities like Seneca and Greer,” said Brad Halter, president of Coldwell Banker Caine. “The agents from these firms are all knowledgeable, community minded people contributing to our ‘quality over quantity’ level of commitment to our clients.”

ERA Riverside opened in 2006 and was recognized as a Top 50 firm in the ERA network after only two years in operation. Operating under the Coldwell Banker Caine name, the office will continue to specialize in connecting clients with superior real estate options in Greer, Travelers Rest, Blue Ridge and Taylors communities.

“Although ERA Riverside had a great start and several successful years in downtown Greer,” said Greg Clark, former owner of ERA Riverside and now associate broker with Coldwell Banker Caine, “joining forces with Coldwell Banker Caine is a natural next step for us in growing our presence as a leading real estate company in the Greer market. The outstanding reputation and unparalleled resources provided by the Caine Company will bring immediate value to our clients and sales associates.”

While this acquisition marks the first time Coldwell Banker Caine has maintained a physical office space in Greer, the company has been closely linked with the community for the past 50 years. In addition to serving the residential real estate market over the decades, Coldwell Banker Caine played a key role in the Village Greer development in the 1970s, and most recently assembled 134 acres which now contains Greenville Hospital System’s new Greer campus.

Susan Clary will serve as broker in charge for Coldwell Banker Caine’s Greer office. For more information about Coldwell Banker Caine, visit the Web site at www.coldwellbankercaine.com, or contact 864-250-2850.
