GADC Offers Business Finance Resource Guide

GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC, December 14, 2009 — The Greenville Area Development Corporation has created a Business Finance Resource Guide designed to educate business owners on many of the financing and consulting resources available to them in Greenville County.

The free publication is designed to provide county business owners with a go-to resource to consult when seeking state and local financing resources, including offerings from various investment groups and venture capital resources. It also overviews select financing programs, available tax credits and Small Business Administration (SBA) programs available to small and medium-sized businesses seeking capital to launch or expand their companies. The Business Finance Resource Guide is available free of charge online at www.GoGADC.com in the “Business Climate” section.

“Greenville County offers businesses numerous benefits, including a favorable business climate, a diverse workforce and a vibrant small business community,” noted GADC vice president Kevin Landmesser in announcing the new resource. “These attributes are just a few that keep Greenville County’s economy thriving, and many of our local businesses take advantage of the valuable connections the community brings. However, some may overlook the valuable expertise of state and local resources that could ultimately add value to their growing enterprises. The Business Finance Resource Guide is designed to assist them in locating those resources.”

The publication provides an overview of many of the resources available, along with detailed contact information for interested persons to follow up for further details. “We will continue to add and update the Guide with new information as it is brought to our attention,” added Landmesser.

The free publication is available at no cost online at www.GoGADC.com under the “Business Climate/Finance” section. Requests for additions to the publication can be directed to Landmesser via email at klandmesser@greenvillecounty.org or by calling him at 864.235.2008.
