SC Charter School Job Fair - Charters Hiring over 100 Teachers!

Educators from across South Carolina will explore new career opportunities at the South Carolina Public Charter School Teacher Recruitment Fair sponsored by the SC Association of Public Charter Schools on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 10am - 1pm at Carolina School for Inquiry, 7405-A Fairfield Road, Columbia, SC 29203. This is a free event for all interested in educating South Carolina’s students.

Educators will have the opportunity to learn about the professional advantages and opportunities of teaching at a public charter school. Schools from all over SC along with the virtual public charter schools will have representatives available to speak with prospective teachers. School faculty and leaders will be available to answer questions from Public Charter Schools across South Carolina.

People who have considered teaching, but don’t have the credentials are encouraged to attend. Charter Schools in SC have the flexibility to hire 25% of non-certified faculty members. There will be information about PACE, alternative accreditation, and how the SC Charter Act allows for a percentage of educators to be noncertified. This is a great opportunity for mid-career professionals or retired professionals looking for a second career.
