MTC to Host Southeastern African-American Student Leadership Conference
Midlands Technical College (MTC) will host the 17th-Annual Southeastern African-American Student Leadership Conference (SEAASLC) on March 26-27, 2010, on the Airport Campus. The conference is open to college students of any age throughout the Southeastern US. Though the conference primarily focuses on topics affecting African-American and other minority students, students of any race or ethnicity can attend.

The conference fee is $40 and includes conference materials and several meals (hotel accommodations and transportation are not included). The registration deadline is February 26, 2010. After February 26, the conference fee will be $50.
MTC is the first two-year institution in SEAASLC history to host the event. This conference will be offered in place of MTC’s African-American Male Leadership Institute (AAMLI) annual conference. The conference is being sponsored by MTC’s AAMLI, Sister Circle, and various contributing organizations.
Midlands Technical College is a comprehensive, multi-campus, public, two-year college serving the primary region of Richland, Lexington and Fairfield counties of South Carolina. The college enrolls approximately 18,000 credit students annually, and provides continuing education to 30,000 individuals and hundreds of area businesses each year. MTC is the largest provider of transfer students to the University of South Carolina.
