Rachel Gilles Named Honorary Chair of Greenville Camp Success

The Silver Crescent Foundation is pleased to announce that Rachel Gilles, a training specialist with Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS), will serve as the honorary chairperson of the Greenville Camp Success. Camp Success is a week-long academic program that fosters interest in science and engineering among rising seventh and eighth graders and is scheduled to run June 20-25 at Greenville Technical College.

“Camp Success offers a great opportunity for students in our area to learn about the important role manufacturing plays in our community,” Gilles explained. “By exposing these young people to a variety of activities and projects during the week, we hope to show them how they can channel their interest in science, engineering, math, and technology to make the world a better place to live. We also believe these activities are the building blocks needed to develop our state’s future skilled workforce.”

ATS improves the productivity and profitability for many of the world’s most respected manufacturers through the managed services of production equipment maintenance, information technology and spare parts repair. According to Gilles, the company places a high priority on encouraging more young people to consider careers in science and engineering. “We see career exploration as a vital part of our company’s future success and we are excited to be supporting Greenville’s Camp Success.”
