Looking for a great summer activity for your middle or high school student?
Clemson University’s Summer Science and Academic Enrichment Program for talented middle and high school students will engage its participants in challenging academic courses coupled with fun, friendships and an unforgettable Clemson experience. This year’s program offers exciting new classes for students, including a multimedia course, a forensics institute, various communications courses and an interactive real estate development experience.
A balanced schedule of educational, recreational and cultural activities will help broaden students’ academic skills and develop their creative abilities. Exciting classes occur during the day while evening and weekend activities may include nature study and campus tours, discussions with Clemson faculty, and career and educational guidance. In addition, students enjoy movies, games, swimming, bowling, and trips to university laboratories and historical sites.
Faculty will conduct the classes in Clemson University facilities using university materials and equipment to conduct scientific investigations. Students will live in a semiprivate room in a campus residence hall and enjoy meals in a university dining hall. Caring and trained counselors will supervise and facilitate residence hall and evening activities. Student participants also have access to the university health center and recreation center.
