Better Business Bureau To Hold April 17 Shred Day In Greenville, Anderson

GREENVILLE, SC – The Better Business Bureau Upstate South Carolina will be part of National Shred Day on Saturday, April 17, offering complimentary commercial shredding services to individuals and small business owners at locations in Greenville and Anderson.

The BBB established its annual spring and fall Shred Days to help raise awareness about Identity Theft and to stress the importance of shredding personal and confidential information to prevent it, according to BBB President Kathy Barrett. Individuals and small business owners can take advantage of the free shredding service from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the Better Business Bureau, 408 N. Church Street behind the BI-LO Center in Greenville, or at Anderson Mall, 3131 Clemson Boulevard in Anderson. Participants are asked to limit the number of boxes to 10 per vehicle.

Also during Shred Day, the Better Business Bureau is partnering with Verizon Wireless to collect no longer used wireless phones, batteries and accessories to provide refurbished phones and cash grants to local shelters and non-profit agencies focusing on the awareness and prevention of domestic violence. And at the Greenville location only, Goodwill will accept computers, monitors and printers in any condition to be recycled.

Shred Day is sponsored by Cintas, Shred A Way Inc., Anderson Mall, Chick-fil-A, Verizon Wireless, Ever Green Recycling and Goodwill Industries.
