Smith Moore Leatherwood’s Zandra Johnson Elected to SC Bar House of Delegates

GREENVILLE, SC (April 15, 2010) — Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP attorney Zandra L. Johnson has been re-elected to the South Carolina Bar Association House of Delegates. Johnson, who will represent the 13th Judicial District, will serve her second two-year term beginning July 1, 2010.

A leader in Smith Moore Leatherwood’s litigation practice in its Greenville office, Johnson’s service as a member of the House of Delegates includes assisting in the establishment of policy for the SC Bar. At Smith Moore Leatherwood, Johnson focuses her practice on commercial defense litigation, including products liability, professional negligence, real estate litigation and premises liability.

She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Greenville County Bar Association for which she has recently been appointed Chair of the newly created Diversity Committee, the South Carolina Black Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the Donald James Sampson Bar Association, for which she currently serves as the Vice President.

A graduate of South Carolina State University and the St. John’s University School of Law, Johnson is also a leader within the Greenville community as a member of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands Council Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for the Greenville Tech Foundation. She is also an active member of Junior League of the Upstate and is a frequent motivational speaker to the local area youth.
