Rene Josey Recepient of 2010 Gold Compleat Lawyer

Turner Padget is proud to announce that J. Rene Josey, a shareholder in our Florence office, has been chosen as one of three recipients of the 2010 Gold Compleat Lawyer Award presented by the University of South Carolina School of Law. The awards were established in 1992 by the University of South Carolina Law School Alumni Association to recognize alumni for outstanding civic and professional accomplishments. Each year the Alumni Association recognizes nine outstanding alumni at the Alumni Association Dinner. Nominees chosen based upon their significant contributions to the legal profession and exemplification of the highest standard of professional competence, ethics and integrity. The Gold Compleat Lawyer Award is reserved for nominees who have practiced between fifteen and twenty-nine years. The awards will be presented at the banquet to be held April 15, 2010 at the Columbia Marriott.

After serving President Clinton as United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina from 1996-2001, René began his practice with the firm in March of 2001. René has extensive trial experience focusing on trial and appellate litigation primarily in the federal courts. His broad range of litigation experience includes civil litigation, criminal prosecutions and domestic litigation. In addition, Rene has training and experience as a certified arbitrator and mediator.
