Coldwell Banker Caine Opens First Real Estate Gallery in Greenville

New, High Profile Spaces Planned Across Upstate Better Accommodate Clients, Agents and Community

Greenville, S.C. – May 13, 2010 – Yesterday at Coldwell Banker Caine’s annual meeting at the Wyche Pavilion, the company’s real estate associates and staff gathered to see the grand opening of the next evolution of their industry: the Real Estate Gallery. Located at 428 South Main Street in downtown Greenville, and with other locations planned around the Upstate, the Real Estate Galleries are new concept spaces designed to accommodate the changing landscape of today’s real estate market.

Coldwell Banker Caine developed the Real Estate Gallery idea as part of a larger strategy to service the way people today conduct real estate transactions. The downtown Greenville location, for example, features comfortable lounge seating areas, separate smaller offices for associate/client meetings and the latest technological advantages for researching residential and commercial properties – all in a convenient, high traffic location on Main Street.

“Today’s real estate associate isn’t confined to a central corporate office location, rather they move quickly between client meetings, picking up transaction information and visiting properties,” said Brad Halter, president of Coldwell Banker Caine and Coldwell Banker Caine Commercial. “Our Real Estate Galleries, which will be conveniently situated around the Upstate, will provide all-access hubs where an associate can meet clients to show them a virtual property tour, return phone calls and host meetings. Instead of being tied to one office location, our associates will have full use of these flexible office spaces across the community, giving them the freedom they need to excel in the industry.”

In addition to serving as a real estate client meeting center, the spaces will function as community information spaces. People will be able to walk in without an appointment and talk to Coldwell Banker Caine staff about community resources and learn more about the area. The Main Street space in Greenville features a History Wall, with photos and captions educating visitors about Coldwell Banker Caine’s – and the Halter family – commitment and dedication to community since 1933.

Tying in Coldwell Banker Caine’s commitment to the arts community, the Greenville Real Estate Gallery also serves as an artist showcase center, featuring original artwork for sale by artists around the Upstate. Diane Hopkins-Hughs will be the first artist-in-residence to display her work in the Main Street Real Estate Gallery, with new artists’ work rotating through the space on a quarterly basis.

“The Real Estate Gallery is not just another office space,” said Halter. “It’s a place for our associates and clients to share ideas, gather inspiration and learn not just where our community came from, but also help contribute to where we’re going.”

The Main Street Real Estate Gallery in Greenville will open to the public in early June, 2010, with other spaces opening around the Upstate in the coming months.
