Fisher & Phillips Attorney Elected to Serve on S.C. Bar’s House of Delegates

COLUMBIA (May 19, 2010) – National labor and employment law firm Fisher & Phillips, LLP, announced that Hagood Tighe, a partner in the Columbia office, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the South Carolina Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

“It’s an honor to be elected to the Bar’s House of Delegates,” said Tighe, who recently served as Chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Labor and Employment section. “I look forward to this role serving the members of the Bar.” Tighe currently serves as a member of the Bar’s Continuing Legal Education and Convention Committees.

Tighe practices exclusively in the area of labor and employment law, representing management in union campaigns and employment litigation. Tighe was a 2004 recipient of the Silver Compleat Lawyer Award from the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Association. This award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to the legal profession, and who exemplify the highest standard of professional competence, ethics, and integrity. He has also been listed in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers since 2007, The Best Lawyers in America since 2008 and South Carolina Super Lawyers since 2009.
